Data Deletion

Last updated: November 2025

You have the right to delete the personal data Ampified holds about you at any time. This page explains the two ways to do that and what happens when you submit a request.

Option 1 — Delete your account from inside Ampified (instant)

The fastest way to delete your data is from your account settings:

  1. Log in at ampified.co.uk/login
  2. Go to Settings in the left sidebar
  3. Scroll to Delete account
  4. Confirm by typing your email address

Your account, podcast data, episodes, posts, voice profile, transcripts, and connected social account tokens are all deleted immediately and irreversibly.

Option 2 — Email request

If you cannot log in, or you used Facebook/Instagram Login and want to revoke access, email us at:

privacy@ampified.co.uk

Include the email address (or Facebook user ID) associated with your account. We will:

  • Acknowledge your request within 72 hours
  • Verify your identity (we may ask one or two questions to confirm you are the account holder)
  • Delete all personal data associated with the account within 30 days
  • Send you written confirmation when deletion is complete

What gets deleted

  • Your account, name, email and password
  • Your podcast metadata, episodes, transcripts and SEO audit data
  • All AI-generated posts, drafts, scheduled content and post history
  • Your AI Voice Profile, samples and learned preferences
  • All connected social-media access tokens (we cannot delete posts already published to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky or TikTok — those remain under your control on the respective platforms)
  • Newsletter subscriber lists you have uploaded (where Ampified is the processor)
  • Audiograms, quote cards and any uploaded media files
  • Stripe customer and subscription records

What we may keep, and why

We may retain a minimum amount of data after deletion where we are legally required to:

  • Invoice and payment records — UK tax law (HMRC) requires us to retain these for 6 years after the end of the tax year
  • A record of your deletion request itself — kept for up to 12 months as evidence of compliance with UK GDPR

Retained records contain only the minimum information required by law (typically: name, billing address, transaction amounts, dates). They are not used for any purpose other than legal compliance.

Revoking Facebook / Instagram access

If you connected your Facebook or Instagram account to Ampified, you can also revoke access directly from Facebook at any time:

  1. Go to Facebook Settings → Business Integrations
  2. Find Ampified in the list
  3. Click Remove

This revokes our access tokens immediately. Your Ampified account will continue to exist (without Facebook/Instagram posting capability) — to delete it entirely, use Option 1 or Option 2 above.

Your other rights

Under UK GDPR you also have the right to access a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, restrict processing, or lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

To download a complete copy of all the data Ampified holds about you, log in and go to Settings → Your Data → Download my data. The export is in JSON format and ready immediately.

See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.
